Position Overview: The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in managing the financial health of the organization. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of manufacturing accounting practices, cost accounting, and financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
Develop and maintain accurate financial records and reports in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Conduct cost accounting analysis to ensure accurate product costing and profitability reporting.
Collaborate with the leadership team to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support for professional development.
Assist with audits and work closely with external auditors as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Cost Accounting experience
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and ERP systems.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
