Manufacturing of quality blow molding machine, auxiliary equipment and all sub-assemblies with the use of power and hand tools, precision tools, and any other required tools and/or equipment by performing the following duties.



  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and Company safety standards.
  • Build or manufacture to drawing, bill of material, all items to established production quality and quantity as scheduled. 
  • Proficient use of precision measuring equipment.
  • Assist with training of employees when necessary.
  • Assist customers/vendors with phone or site consultation when necessary.
  • Responsible for maintenance/repair of building/installed equipment or new equipment as assigned.
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance and good housekeeping to insure good quality and continuation of safe operation.
  • Assist in other departments as temporary assignment.
  • Confer with supervisors, engineering, production personnel or others to resolve manufacturing problems. 
  • Report shortages of parts, tools, and materials in a timely manner.
  • Operate power equipment and material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.).
  • Must have personal hand tools to perform tasks effectively.
  • Ability to use mainframe computer.
  • Develop specifications from general description and draw sketch of part or product to be manufactured.
  • Ability to work with metric and inch system.
  • Responsible for submitting daily time accounting and payroll information or other paperwork requested.



LEVEL I: Minimum requirements of twenty-five (25) credits and two (2) years experience job related and/or equivalent to fulfill the requirements of Level I.

  • Wire sub assemblies, cabinets, and final machine assemblies using routings, drawings and bill of material with supervision or assistance from other employees. 
  • Capable of understanding basic drawings and bill of material.  Documents changes as needed on drawings, bill of material and routing. 
  • Assists with layout and prototype of electrical components, wireways, and conduit. 
  • Familiar with and uses electrical fittings and fasteners. 
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

LEVEL II: Journeyman Industrial Electrician or fifty (50) credits and eight (8) years experience job related and/or equivalent to fulfill the requirements of Level II.

  • In addition to the requirements of Level I, should understand and apply drawings, schematics and bill of material. 
  • Performs machine startup, checkout, and troubleshooting. 
  • Capable of making hand drawings. 
  • Performs all task with minimal or no assistance.

 LEVEL III: In addition to requirements of Level I and Level II;

  • Has full knowledge of machine and sub assembly wiring, startup, checkout, and troubleshooting. 
  • Process knowledge helpful. 
  • Assists department supervisor with meeting predetermined schedule and development of future schedules, including coordination of manpower and projects assigned. 
  • Performs all tasks with minimal supervisory and/or engineering assistance. 
  • Leadership quality helpful.





 Electricians License, Journeyman Card, Apprenticeship hours, Forklift license, etc.  (Not required but helpful.)
