CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

The CSR is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the schedule between the production and the customer with the aim of fulfilling the customer requirements as well as discussing expectations of customers. Serves as a go-between in dealing with complaints and problems for the customer and the Shipping Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Direct contact with the customer by way of different modes of communication
  • Responsible for incoming EDIs, spot buy shipping releases and manual orders
  • Update of SAP system to show all of the correct information (e.g. dates & demands in SAP for MRP team
  • Monitoring of customer ratings, communicate and challenge as necessary
  • Controlling team KPIs and initiate actions accordingly

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsibility for adherence to deadlines, quality and costs within the objectives and budget
  • Claim processing and determination of corrective measures
  • Visualization of group results and targets
  • Responsibility for housekeeping
  • Performs other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Either two years of college, or five years of experience in a manufacturing customer service environment, or a combination of both
  • Good communication and telephone skills
  • Computer (MS Office) and SAP experience is required
  • Must be able to handle pressure and stress
